Finding Music
There are many ways to find the titles you are searching for on Orchestra Music Direct. You can Search the database, Browse by Composer or Arranger, Performing Artist, Ensemble Format and Grade Level.
A Search Box is present at the upper right-hand corner of every page. Enter keywords and click the "Go" button. For a full explanation of the search syntax go to our Search Tips page.
Search Results Page
The Search Results page displays up to 25 search result items by default. You can increase the number of items on your page to 50 or 75 by clicking on the links for "50" or "75" under the Display Results text on the top right corner of the search results page.

If you have too many results and need to narrow your search, us the "Orchestra Music Finder" box, found right-hand side of the results page. The Orchestra Music Finder allows you to browse among the obtained search results further or re-group the search results by Ensemble Format, Composer/Arranger and Style.

You may go to another page of results either from the page number links at the top of the page or by scrolling to the bottom of the page, where the page number links are displayed again.

Click on the title of an item to preview the score and its available parts.
Browse By Composer/Arranger
On the left side menu of every page, there is a link to search or browse for music related to a particular composer or arranger sorted alphabetically by last name.
Browse by Ensemble Format
Here you can search for a particular instrumental format such as Full Orchestra, String Orchestra and Professional Orchestra
Browse by Grade Level
If you require music to fit a specific ablilty level of an ensemble, you can begin your searches by sorting available titles by Grade Level.
How do I preview a piece of music?
When you click on a song title, you will be able to preview the first page of the sheet music. You will also be able to view other details about the item, such as the Price, Format, Page Count, plus additional detail, such as an audio .mp3 sample file (where available). If a song is Interactive, you will be able to use the interactive features, such as playback, transposition, note size, and zoom level.
